PRESENTATION
Future is now
SR21, created in 2002, is the Reunion Island (French Oversea Department) agency for
the sustainable development and innovation. We are a Public/Private Regional Body
working for the Reunion Regional Council.
HISTORY
On the initiative of Reunion Regional Council, SR21 created together with the economic
and social actors in Reunion, a referential document named “PR2D” (the Reunion Plan
for Sustainable Development), which gives an outlook of Reunion Island in the year
2030.
In the long term, this program has for objective the mutation of the economical model of
Reunion Island.
With the “PR2D”, many projects for the benefit of sustainable development were created,
such as “Reunion in 2025”, “Reunion: Green Island”, or the “Gerri” program which is
supported by the French President.
Under this context, SR21 is in charge to assist operationally the regional council.

January 2003: visit of the Ambassador Mr. Wu Jianmin and of the first Chinese
delegation conducted by Mr. Zeng Yan
November 2003: visit of the Regional Council President Mr. Paul Verges to China
March 2004: visit of Mr. Chen Tieli and signature of an agreement betweem TIEC
(Tianjin international exchange center) and SR21
July 2004: visit of Mr. Shi Chunseng, deputy of Tianjin / mission in China
November 2004: Tianjin delegation for the Mascareignes exhibition fair
February 2005: Opening bureau and representation of Tianjin Municipaly in Reunion,
